I am a student from HK and I will go to USA this summer for a research programme for three months I have a little support from my home university but that is not enough since things and accomodation in US is so expensive where can I get some help I'd like to be granted HKD10000 to 20000, that is about USD1500

There are none that I know of for legal visitors. I know of several illegals who get funding. Why are you coming to America to study?

I think if you got a part time job in a bar on HK island, say LanKuaiFong or WanChai you could save enough money. You could also talk to lots of foreigners there. Hong Kong is just as expensive as the US, so you should do like US students do, get a job!
