California Fitness - a very popular one in Hong Kong with quite some branches in city centre - Central, Wanchai, Causeway Bay, Mong Kok, Tsim Sha Tsui... etc.

i don't think California is cheap, i think it is more expensive than Physical Fitness. (for boy) http://www.physical.com.hk/ If you are girl, go to modern beauty, it is cheaper, less than HKD$150 per month, (need to sign contact for 1 year, i joined it before, ignore the trainer lesson, because their aim is to sell the training package. Modern Beauty have many chain e.g. central, TST, MK, Admin..

yea the site's a little difficult to navigate for finding the app. if you want to apply you should do it SOON, deadline is jan 31st i think but you have to send in a copy of ur passport, transcript, and a referee's report filled out by one of your teachers. online part will be no problem to do, its just that since your in the USA, who knows how long it will take for ur transcript to get to HKU and u hav to send referee's report thru ur school too. i would send my passport copy with that stuff too, b/c its easier. Im in the USA too and i just applied last week. heres where the online app is ---> http://www.hku.hk/admission/nonjupas-application.htm what r u applying for? just curious.

Can I change a student visa of the UK to settlement visa if my mother is a British Citizen? I'm over 18.?
I have a student visa of UK and I am currently living here with my parents. My mom is a settled British citizen and my dad's here too. I want to apply for a UK settlement visa through my mom but i was refused before in hong kong as i was over 18. So, I would just like to know if i'm elligible to apply for one. Please let me know whatever you know. Thanks.

My husband is British. It is my understanding that it needs to be your mother (or father) who petitions for you. Part of the application process will be her needing to show that she can support you without recourse to public funds, and have a suitable place for you to live. Also I do not think it is possible to change the visa classification while you are in the UK. I believe you will need to go home, then the process can begin. But why not contact immigrations, an attorney to find out the where to's and how for's. I know from personal experience that what is doable and allowed is not always what they post on the immigration websites. Good luck to you!

Answer to your question is, NO. You need to live in UK for 5 years on work visa & pay TAXES. OR when u are over 21 & if u marry a British citizen then u can get settlement visa (ILR) to live in UK. Your mother cannot play any role in getting u visa, since u are over 18 & independent adult.

No,it is not possible at all. You are an adult and your mother was not born here neither. Why do you want to live here anyhow. What is wrong with your own country.
4 :
No you can't! you say that you mom is a settled British citizen, and your "dad" is here too, but is your dad legally here? does he have correct visa? just because your mom has the correct documents it does not mean that your dad has, you may have opened a can of worms here, go back to hong kong quickly before you get your father thrown out of the country along with you.
