How to apply for MASTER DEGREE in HK as a Chinese mainland student?
i want to apply for master degree in The Hong Kong University Of Science And Technology or The Hong Kong Univeristy. it is said that as a Chinese mainland student, i have to offer my TOFEL score, but actually i didn't take that exam at all. i took IELTS exam and i got 6.5. i dont know whether my IELTS result is available or not. please tell me whether it is ok. and if it is not available, please tell me how many TOFEL scores do i need if i want to study in the univeristies i mentioned above. THANK YOU!!!

How good is Hong Kong University?

How good is Hong Kong University?
in terms of business studies (admin, IT, communications etc) additional questions: 1. are they popular among business students? 2. why would people wanna chose HKU? 3. Is their degree recognized worldwide? 4. Do they teach in good english?

I dont know how good Hong Kong University is. Hong Kong is a "country" with a lot of businesses, so I think Hong Kong is a great place to further business education. I don't know if it is recognized worldwide - maybe if you plan on working in Asia.

Form 3 in Hong Kong (14 y.o.) study calculus & diff. equations. Grade 9 in USA study linear equations. Why?
Students in USA are at least four full years behind. Linear equations are studied in Hong Kong when you're in Primary 5 (10 year old). USA students don't see Calculus until first year of college, and differential equations until the second year, when they are already 19 or 20!

And yet Americans maintain the highest standard of living while that 14 year old kid in Hong Kong goes home every night and lives in dirt and dogshit with the rest of his family. By the way, linear equations arent taught as a curriculum standard in Hong Kong to 10 year olds, my sister teaches there. Maybe you should make sure someone cant call you on your bs next time before you post a ridiculous lie.

I took it in high school....1st yr:geometry,2nd yr:Algebra 2.....3rd yr:Triginometry and analytical geometry....4th yr:AP Calculus. So I don't know where you get your info.....you're wrong.

well studying at high levels are great but imagination is more important than knowledge. Who said that by the way?

Not true. We don't force our children to go to school 10 hrs a day and all summer long. We don't force our children to study another 6 hours after they put in 10 hrs. My 14 year old granddaughter goes to A&M. She takes engineering. Why are you so far behind her in your studies?

I studied calculus in high school, and I think it may have been offered in Jr High (not sure).

what is Hong Kong University (HKU) 's acceptance rate for international students?


what is Hong Kong University (HKU) 's acceptance rate for international students?
I'm also wondering if i could get in. My GPA overall would be around 3.0-3.5 while my SAT score is around 2000, my dad was a student at HKU and CUHK (he is actually still in CUHK program now). How likely am I going to get in for HKU med? I also took the AP bio test and didn't get results yet but it's a 4 or a 5 while i scored 660 on SATII bio and planning to take SATII chinese and chemistry along with the AP chem test and AP Calc test during senior year(coming up year). What are my chances of getting into HKU or CUHK?
