Hong Kong or Christchurch?
Hello everybody, I am a 25 years old Italian boy. I'm a graduated student looking for a PhD position abroad. The two most likely destinations actually seem to be Hong Kong (Hong Kong University) or Christchurch (Canterbury University). I was wondering if someone who lives there or who knows these towns can give me some useful advice about people, life style, universities and other interesting aspects. Thank You Everyone! Tommaso Do you mean that NZ is too far? or are there other restrictions? mmm... so Hong Kong seems to be the best choice... thank you everybody for your kind answers!

Hong Kong. If only because it's nearly impossible for an EC citizen to get into New Zealand and work. Ian M

Hong Kong University is a good choice for u as its cheaper than Christchurch, food wise taste nicer and the people are more friendly than Christchurch. Christchurch is definitely far from Italy, but there are not much restriction for u as an Italian to either study in HK nor NZ. But for work, its equally hard, so make no difference for u.

HK very much welcomes foreigners than many advanced Asian countries. HKU has a very good exchange student program too. Check www.DiscoverHongKong Enjoy!
