Can I get my Chinese Z working visa from Hong Kong?
I am a USA citizen living in Shanghai and I need to get my Z working visa. Can I go to Hong Kong to obtain it? Previously I was on a student visa, and I already have found a job that will provide me all the necessary documentation for a Z visa. The reason I ask is because I saw online on the embassy's website below a notice that stated that in 2008/4/13 "If you don't reside or work in Hong Kong permanently, you are required to apply Chinese visa from the Embassy or Consulate-General of Peoples' Republic of China in your resident country" http://www.fmcoprc.gov.hk/eng/zgqz/bgfwxx/

Yes you will be able to get on, just contact the embassy and ask for details.
