Can I enter UK borders as a visitor then apply for student visa?
As of now, I have a little problem. I have been accepted into an university in UK and I have already booked my flight ticket to Hong Kong for vacation then from Hong Kong to England. I am afraid that there wouldn't be enough time for my student visa to process here in Canada. So will it be possible for me to enter UK borders as a visitor then apply for student visa when I am in UK?

People who enter the UK as a visitor are restricted from changing visa category inside the country. You would need to return home an then apply for a student visa.

As Truth Dealer says there is no way to change from a visitor's visa to any other visa category while in the UK. A student visa can only be granted in your country of legal residence. So you have to process it in Canada. So apply before you go to Hong Kong, travel to HK as a tourist, return to Canada to get your student visa, then travel from Canada to the UK

You cannot change status from a visitor's visa. You would have to be legally resident on the UK to apply for any visa from inside the country. Why not use the priority service which will get you a decision within 48 hours?
