Hello, I am enrolling in a college in UK for University Foundation Programme. I am going there from Hong Kong by student visa. My parents can fund my studies and everything while I'm there. Please tell me if I still need a sponser? I have to apply to the british consulate and I have no idea if I need to present them my sponser and so on. The question is: Do I still need a sponser even though I can fund my studies , accomodation and so on.... I already have the documents from the college, the acceptance letter, invoice and so on. I am just confused about the sponsership.

No, you should not need a sponsor, sponsor is only if you need financial need from others and also apply to foreign exchange student.

For a student visa, you need documents showing you have been accepted by a school/university, and proof of sufficient funds to cover all of your school expenses, living expenses and transportation home. Your parents are providing for these expenses, so you should be fine. Sponsors are for immigration. Since student visas are not an immigration-class visa, only temporary, you do not need a sponsor.

A sponsor is anyone who is providing financial support. Your parents are your sponsor, simply bring their bank statements which show that they have the funds available to pay for your tuition and living expensive, along with an affidavit of support, which is just a signed letter by them, stating that this money is available to you.
