hong kong police force?
hong kong police force?
well im 16 and i live in uk since i was born. I am born half chinese and speak ok-ish cantonese but some words i just dont know. i have hong kong identity cards and everything and can live there. But i am not a clever student, i am studying gcse atm and i think/know i am going to fail, what i want to know is, is there any way to get into the police without gcse's? i mean like could i get in by just common sense, general knowledge and not by academically? i am dumb academically but quite clever in terms of thinking thing in general if you know what i mean and i will work hard if i like it/interested. I have always wanted to join police or be a pilot. I am also death/half death in one ear. Will that affect my chance? thanks

Following is the Hong Kong Police Application Requirement link. It states under Police Constable that "without the minimum required Chinese language proficiency standard may also apply for the post." But your biggest obstacle for now is you must have lived in Hong Kong for 7 years which makes perfect sense. You don't want to be asking a British policeman who knows nothing about what's going on locally. http://www.police.gov.hk/ppp_en/15_recruit/er.html
