How can I stop a person from downloading foreign country download programs.?
I have a foreign exchange student from Hong Kong China and he downloads programs on my computer all in Chinese which is dangerous for I do not speak or read Chinese. I go to control panel and remove the programs ony to have him put them right back on when he uses the computer which frankly is most of the time. How can i permanently remove these programs so he cannot down load them any more.

He shouldn't be allowed to install things on your computer. That's entirely unacceptable, especially without consulting with you to make sure it's ok. Password protect your computer, and if he complains, tell him he needs to get his own. Using yours is a privilege, not a right. (I doubt that he'll know how to bypass Windows' security, and even if he does I doubt that he'd be nervy enough to try it... it's an illegal invasion of privacy and if you caught him he'd be in very big trouble!) If you've already agreed that he's allowed to use your computer (either contractually or as an informal agreement), and you feel uncomfortable going back on it, politely but firmly inform him that he's allowed to use it as it is, and he's not to install anything on it. Create a guest account and password protect your Administrator account; that will prevent him from installing most (though not all) programs.

You need a CMOS password windows passwords are easy to by pass. There might be a registry entry you can change (at your own risk) to limit Unicode useage. Or take you power cord with you when you leave. Why do you think Chinese is dangerous? If you partition your drive he can have his own section to use. Advertisment: Maxtor SafetyDrill prepares, boots, and recovers your PC's entire internal drive contents in case of system failure or virus/spyware infection (This software feature is only available on Windows systems.) http://apcmag.com/6101/dualboot_windows_xp_and_ubuntu Oh, best idea and keep friends. Have him buy an external drive load his own OS then he is not using your HDD only the other hardware, oh, and setup a dual boot.
