How do I qualify to pay resident tuition for UCLA?
I am an international student from Hong Kong and I've been studying at a community college for nearly a year, and I'm hoping to transfer to UCLA, however, the non-resident tuition is very expensive. Is there any paths that would allow me to qualify to pay California resident tuition?

You must be a resident of California for at least a year (WITHOUT going to school), so you must be in California to work, live, etc. The school needs to know that you are in California for reasons other than to just go to school. To prove your residency, get a driver's license, permanent address, file for taxes, etc.
